Karen brings a host of banking, fundraising, administration, marketing, and operational experience to her role as Convergent’s Sales Coordinator. She is a valuable internal resource to Convergent’s business development team, supporting and facilitating new client acquisition and on boarding, increasing management productivity, and providing overall support to the implementation of our various growth initiatives. Karen’s focus on building and advancing client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction augments Convergent’s reputation as the market leader in client satisfaction.
After ten years in the banking industry, where she served as a Credit Analyst and Construction Loan Administrator managing a $250 million loan portfolio, Karen moved on to the fundraising sector. Her day-to-day direction of a $4.5 million capital campaign advancing education and economic development gave her firsthand knowledge of what makes a successful campaign. Karen excels at attention to detail and multitasking, is highly organized, and has very strong interpersonal skills. Her personality is a perfect fit for Convergent’s top priority of meeting and exceeding client expectations.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Organizes, coordinates, and manages business development activity throughout the firm.
  • Manages and administers contact database, tracking and reporting systems.
  • Conducts research on the nonprofit market and identifies opportunities for Convergent to assist organizations with their fundraising needs.
  • Reviews Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and ensures timely submission.
  • Supports the client acquisition and on boarding process.
  • Builds and advances client relationships.
  • Provides overall support to the implementation of Convergent’s various growth initiatives.
