Project Director opportunities
A Convergent Project Director must be a self-motivated, polished, accomplished, educated, articulate, persuasive, and organized professional with excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, and inter-personal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including excel, is strongly preferred. Ability to perform work with a minimal of administrative support a must.
A Project Director will work directly with C-level business and community leaders. Presenting a professional image through dress, grooming, and presence is a must. Also, a Project Director must operate independently, enjoy autonomy, flourish in changing environments, be open to new ideas and methodologies, and assume the front line responsibility for directing studies and/or campaigns to a successful conclusion. Must be able to prioritize a numbers tasks, organize to accomplish them, and drive them to completion. Resident counsel campaigns require weekly travel to our client communities. Our approach typically requires professional solicitations, so willingness and ability to skillfully “make the ask” is a must.
The ideal Convergent Project Director is motivated by opportunities to make tangible and positive lasting impacts upon the organizations and communities we serve. He/she enjoys project work, and the closure and variety that comes with it. In addition to capital campaign fundraising, other helpful professional background experiences include (but are not required): work experience with a chamber of commerce or economic development organization; volunteer or staff experience with a civic or community organization or mission-based nonprofit; and, management positions in which candidate positively interacted with C-level decision makers.
