Cookeville ranks in top 10 fastest gaining micropolitan area

“The Cookeville micropolitan area has grown so much in the year 2016-2017 it is ranked the eighth largest gaining micropolitan areas by the U.S. Census Bureau.

In fact, it is the only area in Tennessee named in the recently released statistics that provide population estimates and components of change for the nation’s 382 metropolitan statistical areas, 551 micropolitan statistical areas and 3,142 counties.“
