“The Jekyll Island Museum is in line for a complete makeover and a new identity.

The decision paves the way for the Jekyll Island Foundation to conduct a capital campaign for more than $3 million, the amount the project will require.

‘We are grateful for the JIA Board’s endorsement of this project and its partnership,’ said Jekyll Island Foundation Executive Director Dion Davis. ‘I am also grateful for the foundation’s board of directors for their support of this. They have started off our campaign with nearly $400,000 in pledges for the museum renovation.’”
