“Saratoga Economic Development Corp. has launched a five-year plan of bringing 9,500 new jobs and $15.2 billion in capital investment to the area.

SEDC has already raised nearly half the $2.75 million needed to fund the campaign, from private sources.

“We’re not done yet,” said Angelo Calbone, an SEDC board member and Saratoga Hospital president and CEO. “We’re going to move into high gear now. We hope you will look at it as an investment for a stronger economy and more jobs.”

Previously, Saratoga County contributed $200,000 to SEDC’s budget annually, but dropped such funding in 2013 amidst charges that SEDC was no longer effective in bringing new business and jobs to the county.
