Amy comes from a strong consulting background assisting nonprofit organizations of all sizes from different sectors and locations across North America in strategic planning, creating sustainable individual giving programs, board development, major and planned giving, as well as organizing, implementing, and managing major capital and endowment campaigns, annual appeals and general development structure reorganization.

Both from an executive leadership position and in the field, Amy’s experience includes developing fundraising strategies, donor qualifications and cultivation, solicitations, and stewardship. Amy has designed and managed many significant capital campaigns in the US and Canada. She has set benchmark goals, authored case statements, written solicitation scripts, and designed cultivation strategies as well as doubled prospect pools. Amy has worked with hundreds of nonprofits as a consultant on attaining transformational gifts through cash, pledges, and planned giving vehicles.

Amy has also worked in collaboration with the Directors of Stewardship, Stewardship Committees, boards and faculties to engage a nonprofit’s constituency and improve community relations. She has trained over 350 committees on all elements of successful campaign management including managing a donor portfolio, assessing appropriate ask amounts, designing a pipeline, cultivating donors, and conducting effective solicitations and planned giving vehicles totaling over $500 million.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Worked in development and communications with numerous nonprofits including the Boys & Girls Club of America, University of Wisconsin Primate Center, Anglican Diocese of Toronto, Bethesda Lutheran Communities, Seton Hall School, and Catholic Diocese organizations in Pittsburgh, Corpus Christi, Tyler, and Lincoln.
  • Served as a volunteer and board member at the Dane County Animal Shelter, Western PA Humane Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Center, PAWS Chicago, and Boys & Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana.
  • Bachelor of Arts Degree English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
