I was on the board of PASA (Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture) at a time when we needed to start a significant fundraising process. We interviewed 15 nonprofit consulting firms in a rigorous RFP and presentation process and chose Convergent to conduct a feasibility study and capital campaign. They came to the table with a unique approach – one of approaching funders as ‘investors’ and asking them to think about an investment rather than a donation. Thy led us through a process to carefully identify our targets, craft a value proposition that could be measured and supported, and helped us to deliver a message that we would have never been able to do on our own. Additionally, we went from a board where only a few members were willing and capable of asking for monetary support to one that had 100% comfort and participation – no small feat! I appreciate Convergent’s diligent service and look forward to working with them again in the future.
