The Surry County Economic Development Partnership, Inc. (SCEDP) is a public-private, non-profit corporation chartered in 1995 to lead economic development efforts in Surry County and its municipalities — Dobson, Elkin, Mount Airy, and Pilot Mountain. Working alongside a network of partners, including local chambers of commerce, Surry Community College, the North Carolina Department of Commerce, and other state and local organizations, SCEDP is committed to growing opportunities for businesses and residents alike.​

Our organization is guided by a 29-member board of directors representing both the public and private sectors, with a professional staff dedicated to advancing our county’s economic future.
