Rainbow Village Expands its Mission to Serve More Families in Crisis

Rainbow Village, a leading nonprofit in metro Atlanta providing transitional housing and family support services, has entered its next phase of growth. The “Building Homes, Building Hope” Capital Campaign, set initially at $15 million, has expanded to $20 million to meet rising community needs and fund two new apartment buildings on the Duluth campus. The project will more than double the number of families Rainbow Village can serve each year.

CEO Rev. Melanie Connor’s leadership was instrumental in advancing the campaign. Her business acumen and deep relationships across Gwinnett County continue to reinforce Rainbow Village as a trusted resource for families facing homelessness. The recent groundbreaking event marked a milestone for Rainbow Village’s long-term vision. Attended by local leaders, philanthropic partners, and project teams, the event recognized a significant community investment in housing and support services. The expanded campus will serve 66 or more additional families, supported by critical wraparound programs, including counseling, education, and workforce readiness initiatives.
