Ada Jenkins Center began with a simple idea: neighbors helping neighbors.

Founded in 1996, the Center was created to support individuals and families in North Mecklenburg during moments of need. What started as a small, volunteer-driven effort has grown into a trusted community resource offering food access, education programs, financial support, and care coordination.
